Torrance (Calif.) Deferred Compensation Plan will retain Great-West as bundled provider of its 457 and 401(a) plans, which have combined assets of $84 million, said Linda Barnett, city treasurer. Last fall trustees began comprehensive reviews of the plans, which mirror each other; they considered issuing an RFP to other providers but decided not to proceed with a search because "Great-West is still competitive," Ms. Barnett said. Trustees now are finalizing a new fund lineup and might reduce the number of options from the current 21, she said. The new funds might be in place in the second quarter.
