Shreveport (La.) Employees' Retirement System is reviewing the $185 million plan's actuarial assumptions, said Don Norris, pension manager. The plan has an 8% expected rate of return on plan assets and "fared well during the tough times," Mr. Norris said. Plan actuary Aon Consulting is expected to present its findings at the end of February; investment consultant Merrill Lynch will then review the results. Mr. Norris could not speculate on whether more studies will follow.
