Idaho Public Employee Retirement System, Boise, terminated Schroder Investment Management North America, which ran a $214 million active EAFE equities portfolio, because of the impending departure of its two portfolio managers, said Robert M. Maynard, CIO. The $7.5 billion public fund moved the money into a $250 million Mellon Capital EAFE index fund. Schroder continues to run an emerging markets equity portfolio for the system.
The two portfolio managers, Deborah Spalding and Sheridan Reilly, will be leaving March 31, said Jim Foster, Schroder spokesman; Ms. Spalding wants to spend time with her family, while Mr. Reilly is retiring.
