Lozier Corp., Omaha, Neb., added the American Funds Euro Pacific Growth and Lord Abbett Small-Cap Value funds as investment options in its $35 million 401(k) plan, said Tammy Carlson, corporate benefits manager. Trustees wanted to offer a second international option besides the Putnam International Equity fund, which is on watch for performance as well as a market-timing investigation into the fund, she said. The small-cap value option is the plan's first. Trustees will continue to review the Putnam fund over the course of this year, she said.
"Putnam remains focused on our greatest responsibility - delivering consistent, dependable, superior investment performance over time," said Laura McNamara, Putnam spokeswoman. "We are putting in place some of the most rigorous governance, oversight, trading and compliance standards in the mutual fund industry; we think that they will come to be recognized by investors."
The plan now offers 15 investment options. Putnam is bundled provider; Stifel, Nicholas assisted.
