Gainesville (Ga.) Employees' Retirement Fund hired Buckhead Capital and Atlantic Capital to run $3 million each in active domestic small- to midcap equities for the $41 million pension plan, according to a statement by Melody Marlowe, chief financial services officer. Buckhead will run a value portfolio and Atlantic will run growth, Ms. Marlowe said. Funding came from terminating active domestic large-cap growth and large-cap value equity portfolios, each worth $3 million, Ms. Marlowe said; she declined to name the managers. Merrill Lynch assisted.
