U.S. venture capital funds had a net return of -0.3% for the third quarter 2003, down from 1.2% in the previous quarter, according to the Cambridge Associates Venture Capital Index. The return for the 12-month period ended Sept. 30 was 11.1%, while the three-year return was 13.1% and the 10-year return was 37.2%.
The Cambridge U.S. Private Equity Index's net return for the third quarter was 4.9%, down from 7.3% in the second quarter. For the year ended Sept. 30, the net return was 13.1%, the three-year return was -4.9% and 10-year return was 10%.
