Morehouse College, Atlanta, hired J.P. Morgan Fleming as manager-of-managers of the domestic equity portion of its $100 million endowment, said Shirley L. Williams, vice president-business and finance. J.P. Morgan replaced five external equity managers, Ms. Williams said. She declined to name the firms or specify the amount J.P. Morgan will run. Members of the endowment's volunteer board felt the approach would help them gain more manager oversight, Ms. Williams said. No consultant was used.
