Baltimore County Employees' Retirement System, Towson, Md., is conducting a shortlist search for an active domestic core fixed-income manager to run $192 million, said Robert J. Burros, investment administrator. The portfolio is being run by Deutsche Asset Management, but the $1.8 billion system decided to do a "competitive review" because of personnel changes at the manager. The system hopes to make a selection within 90 days. Deutsche can rebid. Ennis Knupp will provide a shortlist of managers next month, Mr. Burros said.
