Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Police & Fire Retirement System in January will review finalists in an enhanced S&P 500 index manager search and might replace the current manager, the global structured products group of INVESCO Institutional, said Lynn Wenguer, pension administrator. INVESCO has been on watch since October for the $31 million portfolio's performance, Ms. Wenguer said, and "all this other publicity (about the market-timing investigation into INVESCO Funds Group) isn't helping." Asset Consulting Group is assisting the $350 million plan. Bill Hensel, spokesman for INVESCO parent AMVESCAP, declined comment.
