Hampshire County Retirement System, Northampton, Mass., placed international equity manager MFS on watch and might seek a second manager for that asset class, said Mary Baronas, administrator. MFS runs about $15 million, she said. Officials at the $118 million plan made the move in response to potential market-timing action against the firm, Ms. Baronas said. John Reilly, MFS spokesman, did not respond to a request for comment by press time. CRA RogersCasey assisted.
