Meriko L. Sarimento joined Forstmann-Leff Associates LLC, New York, as director of investment services and marketing, and Thomas J. Pernice was hired as co-head of client services. Both are new positions, part of the firm's expansion in marketing and client service. Mr. Sarimento was vice president and head of marketing at Deutsche Bank's New York-based equity prime services division until he left a year ago. Mr. Pernice was vice president of the client service group at J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management, New York, until he left in October 2002.
Also, Robert L. Bernstein, Joseph A. Germain and Jeffrey M. Ulness joined Forstmann-Leff as directors of business development. All are new positions. Mr. Bernstein was a senior vice president in asset management marketing at Refco Group Ltd. LLC, New York; information on his replacement wasn't available at press time. Mr. Germain was a director of business development at Grantham, Mayo, van Otterloo & Co. LLC, Boston; other staffers have assumed his duties. Mr. Ulness was co-head of the financial institutions group at Deutsche Asset Management in the Americas, New York; others there assumed his responsibilities.
