Georgia Firefighters' Pension Fund, Decatur, hired Consulting Services Group as investment consultant, said Jim Meynard, executive director. The $452 million plan terminated Burgess Chambers after only three months because of unexpected personnel changes at the firm, Mr. Meynard said. Consulting Services Group was runner-up in the search earlier this year; previous consultant Southeastern Advisory was allowed to rebid in that search.
Consulting Services Group is now helping the plan complete an asset allocation study, as well as manager searches begun by Burgess, Mr. Meynard said. The plan might add a new convertibles allocation, but he declined to provide details about that or any other new portfolio. The study and all searches are expected to be completed by February, he said. Interested firms should contact the consultant, not the plan, he added.
