Kimberly J. Rodgers was named visiting academic scholar in the Securities and Exchange Commission's office of economic analysis. Ms. Rodgers will conduct research on corporate governance, among other areas. Ms. Rodgers, finance professor at Pennsylvania State University's Smeal College of Business, will serve at the SEC for a one-year term.
Mary Brady Greenawalt also was named academic accounting fellow at the SEC's division of corporation finance. Ms. Greenawalt will study "difficult and unusual accounting, auditing, and financial reporting questions" of public companies, among other areas of research, according to an SEC release. Ms. Greenawalt holds the First Union National Bank chair in accounting at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. She will serve a one-year term.
