Louisiana Deferred Compensation Commission, Baton Rouge, is monitoring the corporate structure of Janus Capital and Strong Financial, following a report by consultant Wilshire Associates. The $485 million 457 plan offers the Janus Small-Cap Value, Worldwide and Twenty funds and the Strong Growth and Income fund as four of its 20 investment options. Wilshire cited personnel changes at Janus and references to both firms by Eliot Spitzer, New York attorney general, in his office's probe of mutual fund market timing, according to plan officials who asked not to be identified. Wilshire will present its next report to the plan's board of trustees in December.
