Marjorie Magner, chairman and CEO of the global consumer unit of Citigroup, was the top financial executive named in Fortune magazine's 2003 list of "Most Powerful Women in Business," released today. Ms. Magner is No. 5 on the list, which is topped for the sixth straight year by Carly Fiorina, Hewlett-Packard chairwoman and CEO. Ms. Magner was named head of the Citigroup group in August. She ranked No. 22 on Fortune's list last year as COO of the group. Other financial executives on the list include Abigail Johnson, president of Fidelity Management & Research, at No. 11, and Sallie Krawcheck, chairman and CEO of Smith Barney, at No. 14.
