Theodore R. Aronson, founder of Aronson + Johnson + Ortiz, Philadelphia, was elected chair of the board of governors of the Association for Investment Management and Research, Charlottesville, Va. Monique E.M. Gravel, first vice president, portfolio manager and branch manager of CIBC Wood Gundy, Montreal, was elected vice chair. Both will serve one-year terms. Mr. Aronson succeeded Dwight Churchill, head of Fidelity Investment's fixed-income division in Merrimack, N.H.
Six new governors also were elected to three-year terms on AIMR's 20-member board: Anthony H. Cagiata, managing director at Bank Leu Ltd., Zurich; Shirley Shea DeJarnette, treasurer of the University of Missouri system, Columbia; James M. Lyon, managing principal, senior vice president and director of equity investment for Oakwood Capital Management, Los Angeles; Alex K.G. Ng, chief investment officer for Asia Pacific at ABN AMRO Asset Management (Asia) Ltd., Hong Kong; Nicola Ralston, business adviser at CSTIM Ltd., a London-based consultant; and Teong Keat Yap, executive director of OCBC Securities, Singapore.
