Nevada Public Employees' Retirement System, Carson City, extended the deadline for submitting resumes in its search for an executive officer to Sept. 5. The system is offering a pay range of $92,161 to $115,765 for the position. George Pyne retired in July after nine years as executive officer and 26 years with the $14 billion system. Mr. Pyne's pay was $116,000. No interim executive officer has been appointed.
The executive officer, who reports to the board of trustees, is responsible for all programs of the system, including the investment program. Laura Wallace, chief investment officer, reports to the executive officer.
The board is conducting a national search and will choose Mr. Pyne's successor. Anyone interested in the position should send a resume to [email protected] by the close by business Sept. 5.
