Hubert L. Harris Jr. was appointed chief executive officer of INVESCO North America, Atlanta. He is taking the title from John Rogers, chairman of the INVESCO division of AMVESCAP PLC, who previously held both positions. Mr. Harris will continue in his role as chairman of AMVESCAP Retirement, Atlanta. His role as CEO of AMVESCAP Retirement will be assumed by Robert J. O'Connor, currently president and chief operating officer. Mr. O'Connor's positions will not be filled, said INVESCO spokesman Doug Kidd.
David Ridley was named CEO of INVESCO Alternatives Group, a new business unit that will build on two existing units, INVESCO Private Capital and INVESCO Realty Advisors. Mr. Ridley remains as head of INVESCO Realty Advisors; Parag Saxena will continue as CEO of INVESCO Private Capital.
Tony Cox will become head of INVESCO's North American distribution business. He is replacing Frank Keeler, who is retiring at the end of the year. Mr. Cox is head of the firm's financial institutions group; there are no plans to fill that post, Mr. Kidd said.
