Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP, San Francisco, added the Vanguard International Explorer fund as an investment option in its $50 million 401(k) plan, said Carol Budinger, senior benefits specialist. The plan dropped the Liberty Acorn International fund, she said. Officials also are seeking a replacement for the Janus Mercury fund and may add a TIPS fund option, Ms. Budinger said. Plan officials dropped the Liberty fund because of its new service fees, she said, and they decided to remove the Janus fund because of the departure of Janus Capital CIO Helen Young Hayes. New funds may be chosen at the September investment committee meeting, with any changes effective Jan. 1.
The plan offers 19 investment options. Vanguard is bundled provider; consultant Schultz Collins Lawson Chambers is assisting.
