Louisiana School Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Evergreen to manage $100 million in a core fixed-income portfolio, said Julia LeBlanc, CIO. Funding came from reducing a core bond portfolio run by Orleans Capital to $200 million, she said. Officials at the $1.3 billion pension plan wanted to use three fixed-income managers; they had worked with two for the past few years, she said. Schroder continues to manage about $300 million in core fixed income for the plan. Segal Advisors assisted with the search.
