Bank of America Capital Management will move its equity research and investment management functions and staff from St. Louis to New York by the end of the first quarter of 2004, said Robert H. Gordon, president and CEO. Management of active core U.S. equity and quantitative U.S. equities, along with fundamental equity research, will move to New York, where active U.S. value equities, alternative investments and mortgages are now managed.
About $2 billion in active U.S. large-cap growth equities now managed in St. Louis will be moved to subsidiary Marsico Capital Management in Denver. Staff managing these assets may be deployed elsewhere in BACAP, but will not join the existing Denver large-cap growth stock team.
