Chief Executive Officer Mike Kenneally is personally reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates for global heads of equities and bonds at Credit Suisse Asset Management, New York. He said he is close to making a hire for the fixed-income job, which will oversee U.S., global, European and global high-yield bonds and global credit research. The head of equities will be responsible for U.S., European, global, emerging markets, Asia/Pacific and quantitative equities. The successful candidates may be based either in New York or London.
Mr. Kenneally said he also is searching for a head of European equities and expects to make an appointment soon. He's also interviewing internal candidates to fill the European CEO job (ex-Switzerland), vacant since Henry Wegmann left the firm in June. Yvette Dater, co-head of U.S. equities, is leaving at the end of September to pursue other interests, possibly at a smaller firm, Mr. Kenneally said. Ms. Dater's duties have been assumed by co-head Greg Sauer, who also is global head of research.
Vincent McBride, a portfolio manager and managing director who was lead manager of CSAM's International Focus mutual fund, just left. He could not be reached for comment. Nancy Nierman, a portfolio manager and director, assumed Mr. McBride's investment duties.
