The $7 billion Illinois State Board of Investment, Chicago, could choose a chief investment officer today. The board was scheduled to interview three finalists this afternoon. The finalists are:
-- Thomas J. Satkus Jr., assistant treasurer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, which has $1.05 billion in pension, foundation and other fund assets;
-- Marie Lauren, former manager-alternative investments for the $10 billion General Board of Pension and Health Benefits of the United Methodist Church, Evanston, Ill.; and
-- James A. Casselberry Jr., CIO of Trias Capital Management Inc., Chicago.
The previous CIO, Ronald D. Schmitz, was named director of investments of the Oregon State Treasury last year.
