South Yorkshire Pensions Authority, Barnsley, England, is looking for two firms to manage £200 million ($330 million) each in active global bonds, said John Hattersley, authority fund manager. The £2.3 billion scheme reviews its money managers every five years, and incumbent managers Henderson Global Investors and Lombard Odier International Portfolio Management were invited to rebid, he said. "They both manage predominantly sterling portfolios with a little of global combined in the mandate," Mr. Hattersley said.
Separately, Mercer Human Resource Consulting is undertaking an actuarial valuation of the plan, to be finished next year. Mr. Hattersley said asset allocation changes may result "in the autumn of 2004."
