Harold Bradley was named chief investment officer for U.S. small-cap, midcap and sector growth equities by American Century, Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Bradley assumed the duties from James E. Stowers III, who remains CIO of U.S. large-cap growth equities and the firm's co-chairman. Mr. Bradley, who was senior vice president, will continue to work on investment process development and co-manage the American Century New Opportunities and New Opportunities II funds.
Also at American Century, Tim Reynolds, a portfolio manager from the U.S. core growth team, is moving to the U.S. large-cap growth equity team as part of an expansion. Analyst Keith Lee from the core growth team was promoted to co-portfolio manager to replace him.
Chris Boyd, a portfolio manager on the firm's small-cap growth team, is leaving to manage his family's real estate and investment businesses. Mr. Boyd is being replaced on the firm's two New Opportunities funds by Mr. Bradley, and his duties on the American Century Technology Fund will be picked up by co-managers Tom Telford and Jeff Schuller.
