Three firms have hired marketing directors — all new positions.
Deborah Boedicker was named director of marketing by Strategic Investment Group, Arlington Va., a manager-of-managers and total investment outsourcing firm. Ms. Boedicker was head of client relations at UBS Global Asset Management, Chicago, until she left last fall. Joseph M. Rusbarsky joined Crosslink Capital, San Francisco, as a partner to head the institutional marketing business. Crosslink is a venture capital, crossover and hedge funds firm.
Mr. Rusbarsky had been head of sales and marketing at Husic Capital Management, San Francisco. He was replaced by John Langeler, senior vice president.
Also, Tracie Gunion joined the New York office of OneWorld Investments LP as director of client marketing and investor relations. OneWorld, Boston, manages emerging markets debt for institutional investors.
Previously, Ms. Gunion was a vice president in global emerging markets sales at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, New York. She will not be replaced, according to Stuart Kasdin, director and head of global emerging markets institutional sales at Dresdner.
In other marketing people moves, Anthony R. Carmenate was named to the new position of director of marketing for financial advisers by Banc of America Capital Management LLC, New York. Mr. Carmenate was director of U.S. product management for mutual funds and managed accounts and director of marketing of the managed account business of Alliance Capital Management LP, New York.
John Meyers, an Alliance spokesman, did not provide information about Mr. Carmenate's replacement by press time.
And Cara Williams, a San Francisco-based marketer who supported the international growth strategy of Artisan Partners LP, Milwaukee, left the firm. Karen Guy, an Artisan spokeswoman, would not comment on reasons for her departure.
