Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, placed Capital Guardian Trust, which runs $200 million in active domestic small-cap value equities for the system, on watch for performance, said Jim Wright, assistant investment officer at the $47 billion pension plan. Capital Guardians portfolio has consistently underperformed its Russell 2000 benchmark, Mr. Wright said. Jennifer Grigas, Capital Group spokeswoman, said officials there had no comment.
Separately, the system is searching for a consultant on a per-project basis to evaluate its investment operations program and recommend improvements, said Roger Fox, project coordinator. RFPs will be available in early May from Mr. Fox at (614) 228-8484 or [email protected]; proposals will be due in early June.
