Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, is searching for a CFO to replace James E. Martin, who is joining the Ohio Education Association as assistant executive director for business services. The CFO reports to William J. Estabrook, executive director of the $7 billion pension plan.
Separately, the plan is searching for an active non-U.S. equity manager to run up to $700 million benchmarked to the MSCI EAFE index. About $209 million will come from terminating Smith Barney Asset Management, which ran the money in a similar style, for performance, said Amy Hoiland, fund spokeswoman. Smith Barney had been on watch since August, Ms. Hoiland said. Funding for the rest of the mandate has not been determined. Edward Giltenan, spokesman for Smith Barney parent, Citigroup, said the firm had no comment.
