Vermont State Teachers Retirement System, Montpelier, is searching for an active domestic small-cap value equity manager to run $50 million. The $1 billion fund has not determined the source of funding, said Jeff Wilson, deputy treasurer.
Manager candidates must have at least $500 million in small-cap value under management, must adhere to the funds restriction on investing in tobacco-related companies, and must have a three-year AIMR-compliant small-cap value track record, according to Jed Spaulding, state treasurer. Also, the manager cannot have more than 10% of its assets under management in the proposed asset class.
Requests for the RFP must be made in writing by 4 p.m. April 11 to Amanda Martin at New England Pension Consultants. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. April 23.
