District of Columbia Retirement Board will interview finalists at a May 1 board operations committee meeting in the $1.9 billion systems search for an actuary. The committee is expected to present its recommendations to the board May 15, said Mike Slavin, deputy director for operations and benefits. The search deadline is March 31. Milliman USA, the current actuary, was invited to rebid. Millimans contract does not expire until June 30, 2004, but the board may terminate the agreement, said Bruce Gamble, general counsel.
