United Food & Commercial Workers Employers Benefit Plans of Northern California, Walnut Creek, is searching for a deputy chief financial officer, a new position that would be the stepping stone to the office of CFO, who oversees investments of its $5 billion in assets.
Sonali Bose, chief financial officer, said she has no plans to leave, but added the deputy CFO position was created in part with succession planning in mind, as well as a consolidation of operational and control tasks.
The deputy will oversee accounting in investments, benefits and internal operations, including working with the custodial bank. Other tasks include budgeting and risk management.
Qualifications include seven years of management experience and skills to oversee financial control activities for the organization.
Anyone interested may apply to the UFCW. It isn't using a recruiting firm.
