Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tenn., hired Balentine & Co. as manager of managers for $5 million of its $15 million endowment, confirmed D.D. Thompson, vice president for finance. Balentine is also the endowments consultant. Plan officials terminated INVESCO, which ran the money in active domestic large-cap growth equities, for performance. Bill Hensel, INVESCO spokesman, did not return calls seeking comment by press time.
The plans asset allocation is 65% equity and 35% fixed income.
