Essex Regional Retirement Board, Danvers, Mass., is searching for a manager to run $10 million in active domestic large-cap core equities, said Kevin Leonard of consultant Segal Advisors. Funding will come from rebalancing. Officials for the $175 million plan wanted greater diversification among managers and plan to make a selection by this summer. The fund has an existing manager, which Mr. Leonard declined to identify, that runs a $44 million portfolio in the same style; the Money Management Directory lists Freedom Capital as the systems large-cap equity manager. Proposals, due April 14, are available by e-mail from Rosemary Guillette at [email protected] A selection is expected this summer.
