DuPont Capital Management plans to launch an emerging markets strategy for outside clients by the end of the year, according to George J. Saxon, chief investment officer-equities. The firm, which manages $19.5 billion in pension fund assets for E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. Inc., Wilmington, Del., and $2.1 billion for other clients, currently runs about $640 million in emerging markets equities for DuPonts pension funds. "In a world looking for growth, they (emerging markets) have economies that are growing, with attractive valuations for the companies, Mr. Saxon said.
The firm currently offers the following strategies to outside clients: domestic large-cap, midcap and small-cap equity; active core EAFE; active concentrated EAFE, with a portfolio of 30 to 35 stocks; and stable value.
