Bruce George and Andrew Salem were named executive directors and client advisers, new positions, by UBS Global Asset Management, Chicago. Both will be based in New York. Mr. George had been director of marketing at Martingale Asset Management LP, Boston. His duties are being assumed by others while the company seeks a replacement, said Alan Strassman, chairman. Mr. Salem was a director of institutional sales at Deutsche Asset Management in the Americas, New York. Steven Burke, chief executive officer of Deutsche's institutional group, will conduct a search for Mr. Salem's replacement, said Missy DeAngelis, a spokeswoman.
The UBS searches were conducted by executive recruiter David Schacher of Ex-Par Ltd., New York.
