Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, will consider hiring recommendations from two of the $36.9 billion systems committees at a Feb. 20 board meeting. The boards public markets committee recommended hiring Barclays Global Investors to run a $186 million money market option for the systems $2 billion defined contribution plan, replacing SSgA. It also suggested retaining BlackRock as manager of a $168 million government money market fund and a $220 million general money market fund. The boards private equity committee recommended a $125 million commitment to GTCR Fund VIII; Pacific Corporate Group advised.
