Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston, is searching for one or more REIT managers; no dollar amount has been set, said George Wilson, senior investment officer at the $26 billion fund. The source of funding hasnt been determined, but no managers are being replaced, he said. RFPs are available from the funds website; proposals are due March 10. An asset-liability study now being conducted may result in an increased long-term allocation to real estate, the current allocation is at the long-term target of 6%.
