Hitachi America Ltd., Tarrytown, N.Y., is making several changes to the investment options in its $125 million 401(k)/profit-sharing plan, said Dennis Dowd, senior human resources manager. Plan officials are adding: BGI S&P 500 Stock Index, Bond Index, Extended Market and EAFE Index; American Century Large Company Value and Small-Cap Value; PIMCO Total Return; Ariel Appreciation; Artisan Midcap; and Templeton Foreign funds. The plan is dropping the American Century Diversified Bond and Index funds. It now has 20 investment options, up from 12, including a self-directed brokerage account, he said. J.P. Morgan/American Century is bundled provider; the plan did not use a consultant.
