Credit Suisse Asset Management reorganized its operations, cutting its operating regions to three from five and naming new regional heads. Henry Wegmann heads the European region, which now includes Switzerland; he was CEO of CSAM Switzerland. Joseph Gallagher, former CFO and CEO of Europe ex-Switzerland, now heads CSAM Americas. He partially replaces Larry Smith, global CIO, who was acting CEO of the Americas. Andrew McKinnon, who had headed Australia, will lead the new Asia Pacific region, with Japan now part of the Australia Pacific Region. Toshio Fukada will continue to manage the firms Japanese business. Suzanne Fleming, a spokeswoman, said the CEO title was eliminated for the heads of each region.
Robert Parker was named vice chairman, client relations, a new position. He remains head of institutional marketing.
Additionally, the firm continues to search for a global CEO to replace James McCaughan, CEO of the Americas, who left in April. The position has been broadened into a global role.
