Neuberger Berman will acquire LibertyView Capital Management from Credit Agricole Indosuez, subject to a purchase agreement. Terms were not disclosed.
LibertyView manages about $1 billion in alternative investments, including multi-strategy and single strategy funds. Credit Agricole Indosuez will remain a direct investor in LibertyView's funds, according to a statement on its website. CAI will continue to use LibertyView as a subadviser for the U.S. portion of some of its investment products, said Robert Matza, executive vice president and COO of Neuberger Berman.
Neuberger Berman will retain key investment and executive staff at LibertyView, which will continue to operate from its New Jersey offices. Richard A. Meckler, LibertyView president and CIO, will become president of the LibertyView division of Neuberger Berman and managing director of alternative investments.
