San Francisco City & County Employees’ Retirement System today issued an RFP for a custodian for the $10 billion pension fund. Proposals are due by Nov. 28, with a selection expected in early 2003, said David Kushner, deputy director. Northern Trust, the current custodian, can rebid.
Firms can bid on custody, custody and cash management, custody and securities lending, or on all three pieces of business. Fund officials haven’t made a decision about unbundling the services.
