Arizona State Retirement System, Phoenix, in December will begin an asset allocation study of its $17.2 billion pension plan, said Paul Matson, CIO. The last study was conducted three years ago, he said. No terminations are expected when the study is finished this spring, but plan officials may decide to add a new asset class or subasset class, he said.
The plans asset allocation is 53% domestic equity, 17% international equity and 30% fixed income. Mercer Investment Consulting will assist.
