Charlottesville (Va.) Retirement Fund hired Marvin & Palmer to manage $8 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities for the $53 million pension plan, said Michelle Eden, administrative assistant. Funding came from reducing an S&P 500 index fund run by State Street Global Advisors to $5 million, said Greg McNeille, senior vice president with consultant Dahab Associates.
