University of Kentucky, Lexington, hired Reams Asset Management to run an active domestic core fixed-income portfolio and PIMCO for active domestic core-plus fixed income, said Susan I. Krauss, assistant controller. The $400 million endowment will fund the new hires from a $140 million active domestic core fixed-income portfolio managed by INVESCO, which was terminated for performance. Portfolio sizes have not been determined, she said.
The fund's asset allocation is 70% equity and 30% fixed income. Ennis Knupp advised.
