Cincinnati Retirement System within a month will issue an RFP for a consultant to conduct an asset-liability study for the $2 billion plan. The additional consultant will not replace retainer consultant Salomon Smith Barney Consulting Group, said Jack Walsh, investment officer. Plan officials want to "see who's out there," he said.
The last study was conducted in late 1998 and early 1999, said Mr. Walsh. The plan hopes to have the study completed before the end of the year. No manager changes are expected, he said.
