Salt River Project, Phoenix, hired INTECH to manage $53 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, and Strong Capital to run $30 million in active domestic small-cap core equities for its $644 million pension plan, said Andy Wilson, assistant treasurer. Funding came from terminating Provident Investment, which ran both portfolios in the same style, Mr. Wilson said; he would not give the reason for the termination.
The plan's asset allocation is 65% equity, 25% fixed income and 10% real estate. J.H. Ellwood & Associates advised.
