Oklahoma Teachers Retirement System, Oklahoma City, increased its equity allocation to 70% of total assets, up from 65%, reducing its fixed-income allocation to 30% of assets, from 35%, said William Puckett, CIO. The $5.4 billion pension plan will shift the money to international, domestic small-cap and domestic midcap equities, although plan officials havent decided whether to increase existing managers portfolios or search for additional managers, Mr. Puckett said. The fixed-income reduction likely will come from several managers portfolios, he said. No deadlines have been set, but an "optimistic timeline would have changes in place by February, he said. Marquette Alliance is advising.
The plans current domestic equity managers are: Goldman Sachs; Hotchkis & Wiley; Deutsche Asset; Aronson; Wellington; Shapiro Capital; Tocqueville Asset; Kopp Investment; and Artemis.
