RCN Corp., Princeton, N.J., added 12 investment options to its $27 million 401(k) plan, said Joyce E. Yaccarino, certified pension consultant, qualified pension administrator. They are: Calvert Income; PIMCO Total Return; Van Kampen Growth & Income; Lord Abbett Affiliated; Federated Capital Appreciation; Oppenheimer Capital Appreciation and Global; State Street Research Aurora; AIM Small-Cap Growth; and Merrill Lynch Small-Cap Value, Global Allocation and Goal Manager lifestyle funds, she said. It also will add the Capital Research Growth Fund of America. The plan will retain its existing 13 investment options, she said. Plan officials added options because employees requested more investment choices, she said. Merrill Lynch is bundled provider. The plan did not use a consultant.
