Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, chose nine investment options for its new 401(a) plan, which becomes active Jan. 1, said Roger Fox, investment manager of defined contribution plans. It will offer six pre-mixed portfolios made up of combinations of nine underlying investments managed by INVESCO, Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Global Investors, Grantham Mayo van Otterloo, Wellington, Capital Guardian and Goldman Sachs. It also will offer three lifestyle funds formed from the six pre-mixed portfolios.
The $50.8 billion system is projecting assets for the new plan will reach $100 million by the end of 2003. Callan Associates advised on the search and general investment consultant Ennis Knupp supervised.
