Maryland Teachers & State Employees Supplemental Retirement Plan trustees asked consultant Segal Advisors to draw up a shortlist of top-performing mutual funds in three categories for inclusion as investment options, said Michael Halpin, deputy executive director. Consultant Segal Advisors will be looking at active core bond, active domestic midcap value equity and domestic large-cap growth equity funds. The $1.5 billion, Baltimore-based fund has 13 investment options and plans to add three more early next year, Mr. Halpin said. "With those kinds of additions, we would have a much more rounded list of investment options, he said.
